The brief version of my story is that I went to Uganda in 2012 to complete the adoption of my son and unexpectedly got stuck there in the worst bureaucratic red tape from hell. When it became clear that I would need to be there for several years, I determined that I had to sell my beloved home here in Seattle. I enlisted Jeff for the task, and he oversaw every detail with getting my house in prime condition, staged and on the market. It sold within a week at a price that was pleasing to me. Then Jeff surprised me by coordinating and funding a BBQ and Packing Party with my friends since I was still in Uganda. They packed up my whole house and readied it for the movers. To top it off, Jeff gave me a sizable gift as his way of supporting my fledgling family during our painful and stressful time.

There are hundreds - maybe thousands - of real estate brokers in the Seattle area who have an excellent understanding of the legal and technical aspects of handling a transaction. Jeff is certainly one of them. But there are relatively few brokers who ALSO have an equally deep understanding of human emotions. This is where Jeff really stands apart from the crowd. His background as a pastor means that he spent decades helping counsel people through emotionally turbulent moments in their lives - and he brings those people skills to the table when negotiating on his clients' behalf. In late 2014 Jeff helped us buy a house on acreage in the country - truly a dream come true for us to get out of the city where we could have a big garden, chickens, etc. It was an emotional purchase for us - and it turned out to be an even more emotional deal for the seller, for a lot of reasons. Complicated issues arose following the inspection, particularly involving the septic system. It almost killed the deal. I genuinely believe that it was Jeff's calm and compassionate handling of the emotions on both sides that kept the deal together, and got us the dream house in the country. I'm sure there are plenty of other agents who would've understood the legal issues - but Jeff uniquely understood, and successfully navigated, the equally complex human emotions involved. I believe it made the difference for us, and that's why I would recommend him without reservations.
